The Meadow

A wide-open valley, right off the highway.

Eagle Soaring sits just west of downtown Steamboat Springs, where the Yampa Valley opens up into ranchland and cottonwood breaks. Rows of aspen shade the sites and turn gold every fall, with the foothills and ski area rising behind them.

It's an easy pull-off for travelers passing through on US 40, and a scenic home base for anyone staying a while — close enough to town for supplies and dinner, quiet enough that you'll hear more birds than traffic.

The View

Big sky, wide open meadow.

Climb the low hillside above the park and the whole valley opens up — sagebrush in the foreground, the river bottomland beyond, and the Rockies framing it all. It's an easy walk and one of the best views on the property.
